Dr. Morris currently travels on world missions’ events spreading the Christian gospel and cheerful assistance from a heart that seeks to follow his Savior.  He was invited by People to People International to visit the country of South Africa with 37 Mathematics colleagues in the year 2000. This communication led to the vision of continuing our help to Portland High and has continued for over twenty years.  Dr. Morris is co-founder with Mrs. Phadiela Cooper and Mr. Mark Wilson, two former Portland High educators of the Volunteer Educational Support for Africa (VES4A), a South African Section 21 company exchange program between American educators and the learners and educators of Cape Town, South Africa based at Portland High School in Mitchell's Plain.  He has led groups of educators from the US to Cape Town since 2004.  He has personally taught mathematics at Portland since 2002 and assisted in sponsoring educational and technological advances at Portland High School under principals Mr. Winston Filies and the current principal Mr. Williams.

I am a photography hobbyist who enjoys taking lifestyle images, landscapes, and occasional portraits. I began a serious photographic journey in 1985 while raising our children with my wife Angela.  My first camera was an Olympus OM-10 film camera. This has led to a photographic library now well over 57,000 images.  My camera of choice currently is the Fujifilm xt-3 mirrorless digital camera.

Dr. Morris retired from Valencia Community College (now Valencia College) of Orlando, Florida in 2005 after 30 years.  He was Professor and Dean of Mathematics on the west campus. He was unanimously elected to emeritus status by Valencia in October 2005 under President Sanford Shugart.
